Location

Where is the Village of El Cortez?

El Cortez is in the Lady Lake portion of The Villages in Lake County, north of County Road 466, and listings describe it as close to Spanish Springs Town Square. Its streets include Cortez Avenue, Chula Court, Cajon Court and Agua Way.

Like the other Lady Lake villages, it has no community development district of its own and is served by the Village Center CDD. That district’s rules are the ones that govern your paint color.

With homes now more than 30 years old, many have likely been repainted more than once. We check each one for adhesion and look for cracks and failing caulk before we quote.

Color and painting

Repainting an El Cortez home, step by step

Keeping your original color is the simplest route here. A change takes one more step.

  1. Original color or palette

Under Village Center CDD rules, the original construction color is not an alteration. Palette colors are also generally fine; we confirm the current palette.

  2. New color application

Any other color goes to the Architectural Review Committee. We help you prepare the application with Community Standards.

  3. Paint and inspect

Two coats, a walk-through with you, and payment only when you are satisfied.
